Cerro de la Cruz is a popular "lookout" point above the city. You can access it via a winding road or a series of concrete steps. It was one of the few times we saw people exercising as they ran up the steps for their morning workout.
From the top on a clear day you can see all three volcanoes that surround Antigua - Volcán Agua, Volcán Fuego, and Volcán Acatenango.
The cross, devoted to the city's patron saint, was installed in 1930. It looks south over the city toward Volcán Agua.

Great second day! Wish I bought more stuff! Prices where great and it was fun looking at everything. Grace looks like she loved that doll.
